Jana S. VanDyke
From a personal management firm, Mega Management,
the Jana VanDyke Agency has evolved, reflecting a long and successful
career from a woman who has succeeded on every level since starting as a
model over 22 years ago.
The transition to placing
talent came about as a result of becoming an assistant to the individual
who first hired her as a model and seeing, studying and learning the inner
workings of the placement and representation side of the business.
Always the entrepreneur,
VanDyke struck out on her own and has since placed talent in movies,
documentaries, TV series and commercial. Her talent has been seen in
ER, Haunted Mansion, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Daddy's Little Girls, Why
Did I Get Married, Desperate Housewives, Eli Stone, Law and Order, Drop
Dead Divas, Army Wives, Burn Notice and many many more.
Other credits worth noting
include but not limited to; Mark Burnett Productions, Go Go Lucky
Productions, TRU TV, Food Network, The Paula Dean Show, New Dominion
Pictures, Aegis Film Group, History Channel, CMT, and Turner Broadcasting.
Her proudest achievement and
“claim to fame” as she says, is working with Carmen Reed to help get the
blockbuster hit, “The Haunting in Connecticut” off the ground, working
with Lionsgate/Gold Circle productions.
VanDyke has also
developed many models that have gone on to link with agencies such as Ford
Modeling, Elite Model Management, Irene Marie in Miami, FL, and Silver
Management Group in New York. Many of her models have been published in
nationally distributed magazines, too many to mention.
While representing
actors is her new focus, (more than 300 on board with her new agency) she
still manages to find time to raise 5 kids and a husband.
VanDyke has also
been a board member and director for the Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame, and
a Friend of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
Jana’s keen eye for talent and
optimistic yet pragmatic approach to the business can be summed up in a
quote from Jana herself.
“The Entertainment
Industry can be cruel and hard………that is why you must be graceful and
strong in order to make it.”
